The Grade 4 camp

Two weeks ago we went on camp. We went to Simonsberg.

 Our class went with another class called the Partridges.
 We went to a place called Giraffe House, we saw... two giraffes,zebras,a bearded dragon,a spider, snakes, meercats,a warthog, flamingos,  and the best of them all is the monkeys!


A few minuets/hours later we arrived at Simonsberg christian center and we where shown our dormitories! My friend Zac and I got a room to ourselves and we had our own bathroom and shower!


We did very fun activities, my two favorite activities where S.T.O.P Stop! and the obstacle coarse! the other activities were zip-lining, rope swinging, blind fold challenge, fort building, Elkanah's got talent and the night hike!

My favorite thing on camp was the food and the bonfire! The only reason why is because I really love eating food!

on Friday we packed up all our stuff in our dorm, we ate breakfast and we left. I felt very sad leaving Simonsberg. When I was on the bus i was very tired but when i saw my mom I forgot that I was tired.

Hello, my name is Charles I went for a singing inspection at school, and the inspector was called Mr Raymond. He was the meanest man I have ever met in my life, so I was sent up with my friend Benny, but! We did not know any songs at all, but Pretty Polly. He demanded for us to sing a song, but we did not say or sing anything. I was very shy, but in a very tiny voice, I said “ we can sing Pretty Polly”. A day in the life and home of a child in an informal settlement

Hello! My name is Bobby. I’m busy walking around the block trying to find my house because everybody’s house looks the same. My life in this type of settlement is really hard to live in, that’s why I really want a nice, warm home to live in so that I don’t have to worry about getting sick and that I will feel comfy. I feel thirsty every day, but i have to wait in really long lines just to get some fresh water, I wish that we had a proper plumbing system so that I don’t have to wake up very early in the morning to get water. I wish we had a car, it would make it easier to go to school and for my mom and dad to go to work.The nice thing for me is if I had more stationary for school so I don’t have to worry about running out of pencils or anything else. I don’t feel comfy working under a lamp post because it hurts my back, so I wish we had electricity in our house so that I can study in my house and not feel cold or hurt myself. Swift playground

Swift playground is an app that helps you with coding. You control a small character called byte, and you embark on a puzzle solving quest. There are many codes to learn, like moveForward, turnLeft, etc. Some levels are really hard, or really easy, but as you move on, it starts becoming a lot less easy. Swift playground is quite fun when you know what to do, and when you do know what to do, it gets much easier as you go on, the only reason why is because you know what to do when you understand.
